The Northern Elders have expressed their decision to support presidential candidate presented by the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 election. This was as a result of President Goodluck Jonathan declaring his intention to run for second term in 2015, and also the automatic ticket issued to Mr President, thus preventing aspirants from the North from contesting on the platform of the party.
