Electricity distribution companies in debt mess owes government agencies 14.16billion


 The electricity distribution companies did not remit a tune of N14.16billion naira to the account of the different government agencies according to market standard. The default distribution companies are indebted to the Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Company, the operator of the Nigerian electricity market, and the Federal Inland Revenue Service, payment  between  November 1, 2013 and July 31, 2014. The privitised companies were directed  to quikly pay up debts to the agencies and provide evidences of remittances made on or before the close of business day Friday, October 17, 2014. Failure to comply with the resolution would attract a fine of N10,000 for every hour until the payment are made
